Scrap Metal Purchase & Trash Removal Services

The City of Bryan, through Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU), is seeking a vendor to provide scrap metal purchase and trash removal services. The selected vendor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment, and supplies needed to transport and recycle scrap metal acquired by BTU. The vendor will also provide containers for scrap metal and trash at no cost to BTU. The services will include inspecting the contents of the containers for unacceptable materials, responding to requests for container replacement, and delivering empty containers. The vendor will be required to maintain insurance coverage, including commercial general liability, business automobile liability, and workers' compensation. The contract will be for an initial period of one year, with four one-year renewal options. • The vendor must visit the sites of the proposed work and become familiar with the conditions that may affect the work. • The vendor must provide a reference list of at least three current customers. • The vendor must comply with all applicable federal and state laws, as well as the charter and ordinances of the City of Bryan. • The vendor must obtain all necessary permits and licenses required to complete the work. • The vendor must apply basic safeguarding requirements and procedures to protect its information systems.
