Almena FEMA Community Safe Room Project

The Village of Almena is seeking bids for the construction of a Community Safe Room project. The safe room will have a 325-person capacity and will be designed, constructed, and maintained to FEMA standards for the protection of life safety from tornado and high wind events. The facility will be 2,304 gross square feet and will be funded in part by a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. • The project includes general construction, concrete, site work, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing. • Bids are to include all labor, materials, equipment, and all else necessary for completion of the project. • A performance guarantee in the form of a 100% Performance and Payment Bond is required. • Bid documents can be obtained from Ratsch Engineering Company, Ltd.
