Description
The US Air Force is seeking sources for aircraft towing services to support Operation PALMETTO REACH 2026. The services will be required at Saipan International Airport, and the contractor will need to provide an aircraft tug capable of towing a fully loaded C-17 Globemaster III. The tug must meet specific requirements, including a minimum drawbar pull capacity of 585,000 lbs, functioning lighting, brakes, and safety features. The contractor will be responsible for delivering the tug to the designated location, maintaining it during the period of performance, and providing a replacement tug within 2 hours if the primary tug becomes inoperable.
Some key requirements include:
• The tug must be available 24/7 during the period of performance.
• The tug must be capable of responding to repositioning requests within 10 minutes of notification.
• The contractor must comply with all Saipan International Airport and AMC ground safety requirements.
• The contractor personnel must remain within designated areas unless escorted.
