Description
The Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center Sigonella (FLCSI) is seeking to procure commercial biotechnology research supplies, specifically three MinION Mk1D sequencing kits manufactured by Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT). The kits are required to support the implementation of a newly developed assay at the Naval Medical Research Unit Europe, Africa, Central (NAMRU EURAFCENT). The procurement is being conducted under the authority of Part 12 of the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) and is currently intended to be a sole-source purchase from Change Biotec Limited. However, interested parties may submit capability statements to be considered for a potential competitive procurement.
Key requirements include:
• The procurement of three MinION Mk1D sequencing kits: one MinION Mk1D pack with Rapid Sequencing Kit V14, one MinION Mk1D pack with Rapid Barcoding Kit 24 V14, and one MinION Mk1D pack with Direct RNA Sequencing Kit.
• The kits must be manufactured by Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) and must meet specific configuration and component requirements.
• The contractor must provide a 1-year manufacturer's warranty and support, valid in Africa.
• The delivery location is the NAMRU EURAFCENT laboratory in Djibouti, Africa.
