Description
The City of Columbus, Division of Fleet Management, is seeking bids for vehicle rentals to be used for the summer parks program and other miscellaneous uses throughout the year. The contract will provide for the option to rent various vehicles, including economy/compact sedans, intermediate/standard sized sedans, full-sized sedans, mini vans, passenger vans, cargo vans, SUVs, pick-up trucks, and box trucks. Bidders must provide documentation of their experience and capabilities in providing vehicle rental services, including references from at least four customers. The bidder must also provide warranty and insurance information, and meet certain requirements for vehicle age, mileage, and maintenance.
• The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to renew for additional years.
• The City reserves the right to require a demonstration of any equipment prior to award of the bid.
• The successful bidder will be required to provide vehicles that meet certain specifications, including age, mileage, and maintenance requirements.
• The bidder must also provide an online reservation portal that will accept a purchase order to complete the reservation.
• The City will use the requirements of this section to determine if each bidder meets the minimum standards to be considered a responsible bidder.
