Request For Information - Basic Expeditionary Airfield Resources (BEAR) Water System Freeze Protection

The United States Air Force is seeking information from potential contractors to identify sources capable of providing expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for a Water Freeze Protection System for the Basic Expeditionary Airfield Resources (BEAR) water system. The system should be able to sustain water and wastewater operations in cold weather environments down to -25 degrees Fahrenheit and extended protection down to -65 degrees Fahrenheit. The contract type and acquisition strategy are to be determined and will be shaped in part by the findings from responses to this notice. • The system should be able to operate in arctic environments • The system should be able to sustain water and wastewater operations in cold weather • The system should be able to protect against freezing temperatures • The system should be compatible with existing GFE, including MEP generators, heaters, and qualified shelter systems • The system should be able to automatically actuate freeze protection measures based on ambient temperature setpoints
