Claims Administrator

The Monmouth County Municipal Joint Insurance Fund is seeking a Claims Administrator to provide services for General and Auto Liability and Workers Compensation claims. The successful bidder will be responsible for providing claims management and fraud prevention services, including handling claims investigations, settlements, and reporting. The contract will be for a period of three years, commencing on January 1, 2026, and ending on December 31, 2028. The bidder must demonstrate experience in claims management and fraud prevention, and must provide a fee proposal for the services. The Fund reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to negotiate the terms of the contract with the successful bidder. Some key responsibilities of the Claims Administrator include: * Providing claims management and fraud prevention services * Handling claims investigations, settlements, and reporting * Maintaining a claim file for each reported claim and preserving records as required by state statutes and regulations * Submitting monthly loss run reports to the Fund * Providing complete accounting for the claims administration program * Setting claim reserves and providing continuous review and updating to reflect changes * Reporting excess claims based on the time frame and reporting requirements established by the Fund or its excess insurance carriers and reinsurers * Coordinating investigations on litigated claims with attorneys of the Municipal Excess Liability Insurance Fund or excess insurance carrier(s) or reinsurers as required
