Description
Yazoo County, MS is seeking qualified engineering firms or individuals to prepare FY 2027 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) applications and, if selected, to deliver full engineering services through project close‑out. The work includes cost estimating, plan/spec preparation, bid package development, bid opening assistance, construction contract support, pre‑construction conferences, on‑site construction inspection, periodic reporting, and payment request approvals. Proposals are evaluated on qualifications (40 %), experience (40 %), and capacity (20 %). The county encourages MBEs, WBEs, and Section 3 businesses.
• Scope: engineering services for CDBG project(s) – planning, design, bidding, construction oversight, close‑out.
• Deliverables: cost estimates, plans/specs, bid documents, inspection reports, final close‑out documentation.
• Evaluation criteria: qualifications, past experience with similar grant projects, staffing capacity.
• Submission deadline: 3 PM local time, Oct 6 2026; proposals must be sealed and labeled “Proposal for CDBG Engineering Services”.
• No pre‑bid meeting or site visit required.
