Description

The Wood County Engineer’s Office is seeking a professional consulting firm to conduct a comprehensive Classification and Compensation Study for its engineering staff. The consultant will evaluate current job classifications, update job descriptions, analyze compensation structures, address pay compression, and develop a maintenance system for ongoing classification updates. Deliverables include a full report (original plus copies), electronic data files, and a presentation to county officials. • Review and re‑evaluate all job classifications and pay grades for roughly 46 full‑time and 3‑8 seasonal positions. • Conduct market salary surveys, compression analysis, and recommend new salary ranges and step progressions. • Provide updated job descriptions, career ladders, recruitment strategies, and a user‑friendly electronic maintenance system. • Submit final report in hard‑copy, electronic, and flash‑drive formats and meet with the County Engineer and HR/Finance Coordinator to discuss findings.
