Notice of Intent to Sole Source Steris Life Science Equipment Maintenance and Repair

The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) intends to award a sole-source contract for the maintenance and repair of Steris life science equipment. The contract will have a base year and four option years. The equipment includes 16 total laboratory units, such as Reliance 400XLS washers, AMSCO sterilizers, and VHP MD140X. The intended recipient of the contract is Steris Corporation, which is the original equipment manufacturer and only authorized service provider approved to work on Steris equipment. • The contract is for a firm-fixed-price commercial contract. • The equipment is located at USU in Bethesda, MD. • Steris owns and retains the proprietary service software and technician access to this equipment. • The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
