Standard Recovery - Mexico (Follow-on)

The Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM Bank) is seeking a contractor to provide loan recovery assistance for certain paid claims under its credit guarantee and insurance programs. The contractor will be responsible for providing all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform loan recovery services. The scope of work includes collection services, asset searches, site visits, negotiations, litigation, documentation of agreements, embargoing assets, and executing upon assets. The contractor must have full knowledge of the Mexican judicial system and be a duly qualified/registered attorney in Mexico if litigation is pursued. Some key aspects of the job include: • Providing collection services and servicing of defaulted loans • Instituting legal proceedings and/or providing credit restructuring services • Taking other actions required to effect recovery for EXIM Bank • Performing a preliminary research and evaluation of the case • Attempting extrajudicial collection of the claim amount within 90 days • Filing legal proceedings against the debtor and guarantors if necessary • Providing written reports to the Requesting Officer outlining the plan for recovery and estimated amount of the defaulted principal that is collectable.
