Weighing, Acceptance, Processing, and Marketing of Single Stream Residential and Commercial Recyclables

The City of Lakeland is seeking proposals from qualified recyclable materials weighing, acceptance, processing, and marketing firms to provide efficient weighing, acceptance, processing, and marketing of residential and commercial single stream recyclables. The selected firm will be responsible for providing these services in accordance with the provisions of the request for proposal document. The scope of work includes weighing, acceptance, processing, and marketing of recyclables, as well as compliance with insurance and safety requirements. • The proposal should include a pricing proposal, certificate of insurance, and hold harmless indemnification agreement. • The respondent should attest that no City of Lakeland employee, their spouse, or child has an ownership stake in the organization. • The respondent should certify that the company is a drug-free workplace and is not suspended or debarred from doing business with the City. • The respondent should provide a human trafficking affidavit and conflict of interest statement. • The City reserves the right to waive technicalities or irregularities, to reject any or all proposals, and/or to accept that proposal which is in the best interest of the City.
