The project includes the removal of the existing generator, installation of a new one, and interior electrical work. Bidders must provide unit prices for the listed items, including mobilization, removal, installation, and electrical work. The project is expected to be completed within 90 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The City reserves the right to award the contract or make no award. Key considerations for bidders include compliance with the Syracuse Fair Employment and Licensure Ordinance, Syracuse Resident Employment Ordinance, and Minority and Women Business Enterprise Program. • The project requires the replacement of an existing NG stand-by generator. • The contractor must provide unit prices for all items, including labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals. • The project is subject to various ordinances and regulations, including those related to employment, residency, and business enterprise. • Bidders must submit their proposals through the City eProcurement Portal or in hard copy to the Office of Management & Budget, Division of Purchase. • The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose lump sum, together with the alternates, totals the lowest number of dollars.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $150,000

The budget for this project can be estimated based on the scope of work and the typical costs associated with similar projects. The replacement of a stand-by generator and associated electrical work can cost anywhere from $50,000 to $200,000, depending on the size and complexity of the project. Considering the City's budget and the requirements outlined in the bid documents, a reasonable estimate for this project would be between $100,000 and $150,000. The final budget will depend on the bids received and the City's evaluation of the proposals. Factors that may influence the budget include the contractor's experience, the quality of the materials and equipment, and the timeline for completion.
