Alternative Electrical Generation Consulting

The Public Utility District No. 1 of Lewis County is seeking a consultant to research alternative sources of electrical generation. The consultant will be responsible for performing a feasibility study, obtaining necessary permits and licenses, and providing engineering design services. The project will involve evaluating the technical and economic viability of alternative electrical generation sources, including hydroelectric power. The consultant will be required to have experience in designing and constructing high head small run of the river hydroelectric projects and small modular to mid-size pumped storage hydroelectric projects. The scope of work includes site evaluations, hydrology and geotechnical studies, and environmental permitting. • The consultant will be responsible for performing a feasibility study to evaluate the technical and economic viability of alternative electrical generation sources. • The consultant will be required to obtain necessary permits and licenses, including FERC licenses and permits from other regulatory agencies. • The consultant will provide engineering design services, including the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates. • The consultant will be required to have experience in designing and constructing high head small run of the river hydroelectric projects and small modular to mid-size pumped storage hydroelectric projects. • The consultant will be required to have experience in site evaluations, hydrology and geotechnical studies, and environmental permitting.
