Description
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) is seeking a contractor to advance artificial intelligence (AI) skills in registered apprenticeships. The contractor will provide services to support the development and expansion of registered apprenticeship programs in AI-related occupations and industries. The contractor will also provide technical assistance and support to employers, industry associations, and other stakeholders to help them integrate AI into their work processes and expand their workforce talent pipeline. The period of performance for this contract is one base period of 12 months and four option periods of 12 months each. The contractor will be required to provide pricing for labor categories and hours on an Excel document for the base and each option period.
Some key features of this opportunity include:
• Increase AI literacy through registered apprenticeships by developing and identifying free AI resources and training modules
• Expand registered apprenticeship programs in AI-centric occupations and AI infrastructure occupations
• Provide technical assistance and support to employers and industry associations to integrate AI into their work processes
• Support the development and expansion of registered apprenticeship programs in AI-related industries and occupations
• Provide subject matter expertise to industry associations, registered apprenticeship sponsors, and affiliated employers
• Identify gaps and develop new and/or modify existing AI curriculum and work process schedules
The contractor will be evaluated based on three factors: technical approach, past performance, and price. The technical approach factor will be evaluated based on the contractor's understanding of the requirements, corporate experience, and key personnel. The past performance factor will be evaluated based on the contractor's past performance on similar contracts. The price factor will be evaluated based on the contractor's proposed labor rates and categories.
