Printer Payment Modernization

The Vancouver Public Library (VPL) is seeking a qualified vendor to supply, install, and maintain a modernized printer payment system for 31 public printers across its branches. The solution must support multiple payment methods (coins, cash, credit/debit cards, digital wallets, e‑wallets), integrate with existing Konica Minolta printers and the library’s SirsiDynix Horizon ILS, and provide features such as barcode scanning, print‑preview, and future wireless BYOD printing. The contract includes a five‑year term for hardware, software, and ongoing support. • Supply 31 payment devices (26 with cash + card capability, 5 card‑only). • Install and integrate hardware with VPL’s existing printers, MyPC authentication, and Papercut print‑release system. • Provide a maintenance/service contract, including PCI‑compliant payment processing, audit logging, and annual Fair‑Wage reporting. • Deliver detailed reporting (financial, usage, audit) and support future wireless printing from patron devices.
