HIGH EFFICIENCY BOILER REPLACEMENT

The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is seeking bids for the replacement of a high-efficiency boiler at their facility in Cheyenne, WY. The project involves the removal of the existing Wells-McLain Model 88 boiler and the installation of a new, modern, high-efficiency condensing boiler system. The new system must be fully installed, commissioned, and integrated with the existing building hydronic loop and control systems. The project includes pre-construction and safety planning, demolition and removal of the existing boiler, mechanical installation of the new boiler, electrical and controls integration, and system commissioning. The contractor must provide all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision to complete the project. • The project requires the installation of a new boiler unit with a minimum Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) or Thermal Efficiency of 90% or higher. • The contractor must submit complete technical specifications, cut sheets, and performance data for the proposed replacement unit for approval by WYDOT. • The project includes a minimum of one week of functional testing under varying load conditions. • The contractor must provide a minimum one-year warranty covering all parts and labor associated with the installation and a full transfer of all manufacturer warranties for the equipment.
