Notice of Intent to Sole Source with Coherent for CW UV Laser Model OBIS 320nm XT, 40mW

The National Institute of Standards and Technology intends to procure a CW UV Laser (Coherent Model OBIS 320nm XT, 40mW) on a sole source basis with Coherent, Inc. The laser system will be used for photoemission electron spectroscopy and microscopy metrology capabilities in a CHIPS metrology project. The scope of work includes delivering a quantity of one CW UV laser, inclusive of FOB Destination delivery terms and a one-year warranty. The laser must meet specific technical specifications, including a continuous wave output drive mode, an output wavelength of 320 nm, an output power of 40 mW, and a TEM00 spatial mode at the output of the laser. • The laser system consists of a laser unit, electronics to control the laser, and a cooling system. • The laser will be used as a photon source for electron microscopy and spectroscopy to measure changes in chemical and spatial structure. • The contractor must provide documentation demonstrating how the minimum requirements and technical specifications will be met. • Responses must include company name and address, point of contact, and any additional information deemed pertinent.
