Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide janitorial and laundry services for the Lexington, KY Fisher House. The Fisher House is a 13,500 square foot facility with 16 private suites, kitchen, dining room, family room, living room, and other common areas. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor and supervision to maintain the cleanliness of the facility, including daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks. The contractor will also be responsible for collecting and processing linens for laundry. The contract is for a base year with four option years, with a start date of March 1, 2026.
• Daily cleaning tasks include sweeping, mopping, and dusting of all areas, including guest suites and common areas
• Weekly cleaning tasks include cleaning of bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas
• Monthly cleaning tasks include deep cleaning of carpets, upholstery, and other areas
• The contractor will be required to provide a detailed schedule of cleaning tasks and frequencies
• The contractor will be required to provide a quality control plan to ensure compliance with the contract requirements
