The National Park Service intends to award a single source justified cooperative agreement to Utah State University for the testing of NRHP eligible sites in Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. The project aims to determine the significance of cultural resources within the park, provide a better understanding of the settlement and historic use of the park, and contribute to the regional knowledge about the area's past. The recipient will perform testing activities, excavations, and submit analytical reports. The project will last for approximately 3 years, from September 19th, 2018, to September 15th, 2021.
• The recipient will carry out the Statement of Work in accordance with the terms and conditions stated in the agreement.
• The recipient will coordinate with the NPS staff to schedule work within the park.
• The recipient will submit analytical reports on a schedule that allows adequate time for the NPS staff to comment on the draft and for the recipient to perform any edits.
• The NPS will cooperate with the recipient in the development of the research design and schedule.
• The NPS will provide background data and regional reports to assist the recipient with the analysis of testing results.
