The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking information from firms capable of providing Surfacide UV-C Decontamination Emitters. The requirement is for 12 units of the specified emitters, which must meet certain technical specifications, including being an FDA-cleared, class II medical device for Whole Room Microbial Reduction. The system must be able to combine multiple emitters into one single system, operating together or as single emitters operating independently, and must be able to maximize the effectiveness of each emitter to significantly reduce shadows in a single operation. Interested firms should submit capability statements, including information about their experience and capability to provide the requirements, as well as any relevant certifications or authorizations.
• The system must be able to accomplish unattended Whole Room Microbial Reduction to all surfaces within direct line of site and within the effective distance as stated in the manufacturer's labeling in a single, uninterrupted cycle without a need for repositioning or movement of the emitters.
• The system must be able to deliver the effective dose of energy per the system's labeling for total delivered energy during a single cycle without the need for repositioning.
• The system must incorporate a UV-C concentrator for increased energy dosage and intensity.
• The system must be able to pause a cycle during normal operation and continue the cycle without having to start over from the beginning.
• The system must be able to apply "targeted" microbial reduction with safe continuous energy delivered unilaterally in a single direction from multiple emitters while safely ensuring that no UV-C energy is delivered outside of the chosen disinfection area.
