Aeration Tank Cleaning

The City of Toledo’s Division of Water Reclamation is seeking a qualified vendor to clean two aeration tanks at the Bay View Waste‑Water Treatment Plant, replace air diffuser sleeves, replace broken diffusers, install a slide‑gate actuator and a 12‑inch drain valve, and perform associated repairs. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, confined‑space gear, and disposal services, complete the work within the allotted time, and comply with prevailing‑wage, living‑wage, and Project Labor Agreement requirements. • Clean and remove sludge from Aeration Tanks #1 and #4, transport to an approved landfill. • Replace 1,370 diffuser sleeves, clamps, and approximately 40 broken diffusers. • Install a new ML‑44 slide‑gate actuator (Rotork IQM or Limitorque MX/QX) and a 12‑in. stainless‑steel drain valve (AWWA C‑517). • Perform supporting repairs to air headers, pipe supports, and related components; complete all work within 16 weeks.
