RFP - Transit 35' Bus Repower Project

This solicitation seeks qualified firms to repower the City of Monroe’s fleet of 35‑foot transit buses. The project will involve removing existing propulsion components and installing new, more efficient powertrain systems, including associated electrical, mechanical, and control upgrades, while ensuring compliance with local transit regulations and maintaining vehicle safety standards. • Replace or retrofit diesel/old engines with alternative‑fuel or electric powertrains. • Provide engineering design, integration, testing, and certification services. • Deliver project management, training, and post‑installation support for the modified buses. • Supply necessary documentation, warranties, and maintenance plans. • Ensure minimal downtime to keep the transit service operational during conversion.
