Strengthening the HIV treatment and care program in Sierra Leone to accelerate progress to achieve epidemic control under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)

The Centers for Disease Control-GHC is seeking applications to strengthen the HIV treatment and care program in Sierra Leone. The goal of this project is to accelerate progress towards achieving epidemic control in line with UNAIDS' 95-95-95 targets. The project will focus on direct service delivery and technical assistance to strengthen health systems and implementation of HIV treatment and care programs. Key objectives of the project include: • Strengthening technical and managerial capacity of national, district health management teams and civil society organizations to provide sustainable high-quality HIV care and treatment services. • Addressing service delivery related barriers to antiretroviral treatment initiation and retention for people living with HIV and members of populations of focus. • Improving monitoring and evaluation systems and building capacity for high-quality data collection, analysis, and use of strategic information related to HIV response at community, facility, district, and national levels. • Supporting national level policy, guidelines, advocacy, materials, and procurement for a comprehensive package of HIV prevention, care, and treatment services with optimized quality improvement and quality assurance and related support services at facility level.
