Description

The City of New London is seeking a private operator to manage, market, and oversee the docking, mooring, and ancillary waterfront‑park facilities at New London Waterfront Park. The operator will be responsible for reservation management, customer service, marketing the site to recreational and commercial vessels, and providing monthly performance reports, while the City retains responsibility for building maintenance. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and qualified proposer, with a 15 % local‑vendor preference provision. • Operate City Pier, Amistad Pier, Custom House Pier, floating docks, helix moorings, and support buildings (information booth, restrooms, showers, laundry). • Manage reservations, supervise transient vessel usage, and conduct aggressive marketing to yachts, charters, tall‑ship groups, and local tourism stakeholders. • Provide monthly reports to the New London Port Authority and comply with bonding, insurance, and local‑employment preferences.
