Description

The National Institute of Health intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Rapid MR International, LLC, for an MRI head coils upgrade. The upgrade is required to ensure the continuity of safe, high-quality patient care. The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The contract will be for the provision of an A2P adapter and coil driver upgrades for the RAPID Biomedical 31P/1H and 13C/1H Head Coils. • The A2P adapter is intended for use with research coils that have a legacy A-port connector in combination with GE MR systems equipped only with a P-port receptacle. • The coil driver upgrades are required for the RAPID Biomedical 31P/1H and 13C/1H Head Coils to be compatible with the GE MR system. • The contract will be negotiated on an other than full and open competition basis. • The total cost of the upgrade is estimated to be $29,333.00.

Budget estimate

$25,000 – $30,000

The budget for this contract can be estimated based on the total cost of the upgrade, which is $29,333.00. This amount is likely to be the maximum budget, as it covers the cost of the A2P adapter and coil driver upgrades. However, the actual budget may be lower, depending on the negotiation between the National Institute of Health and Rapid MR International, LLC. The budget may also be influenced by factors such as the complexity of the upgrade, the level of expertise required, and the timeline for completion.
