Vehicle Towing and Secure Storage Services

The City of Lancaster is seeking proposals from qualified tow operators to provide rotational towing services for the removal of vehicles from the public right-of-way, the removal of inoperative/unregistered vehicles from private property, and City-owned and/or -operated vehicles. The selected operator will be required to respond to calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week, within a maximum response time of 30 minutes. The operator will also be required to maintain a secure storage facility and provide routine roadside services. • The City is looking for a tow operator that can provide services at no cost or charge to the City. • The operator must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the California Vehicle Code. • The operator must maintain a current list of drivers and employees and provide it to the City upon execution of the contract. • The operator must provide proof of insurance and maintain the required levels of insurance coverage. • The operator must pass an annual inspection of all tow trucks by a qualified law enforcement agency.
