On-Call Electrical Services

The City of Palm Desert is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide on-call electrical services, including repair, replacement, and installation of electrical components, to support various needs at City-owned facilities on an as-needed basis. The selected firm will be required to provide 24/7 emergency service, with a 2-hour emergency response time and a 48-hour standard response time. The firm will also be required to provide qualified personnel, vehicles, tools, and equipment to perform the services. The contract will be for a 3-year term, with the option to renew. The City is looking for a firm with experience providing similar services, particularly in a municipal environment. The firm should have a strong understanding of electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and installations, as well as experience with LED conversions, panel upgrades, and conduit work. • Troubleshooting wiring issues and electrical faults • Converting existing lighting systems to LED • Replacing lamps and bulbs • Installing new light fixtures • Troubleshooting, repairing, or replacing breakers • Upgrading electrical panels • Installing splice boxes • Adjusting light timers for standard or daylight-saving time • Replacing light timers • Performing routine light checks • Providing small-scale lighting designs • Repairing or rerouting conduit
