Description
This Invitation for Bid (IFB) seeks a qualified electrical contractor to provide on‑call electrical services for the Maryland State Highway Administration’s Hanover Complex. The contractor will be responsible for installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and replacement of a wide range of electrical systems and components, responding to routine calls within 48 hours and emergency calls within 3 hours on a 24/7/365 basis. The contract is a 36‑month base period with no renewal options, and the award will be based on the lowest responsive bid.
• Scope includes wiring, load studies, distribution, lighting, motors, transformers, switches, and related equipment.
• Contractor must supply all labor, materials, equipment, and project management.
• Must hold a current Maryland Business License and a Master Electrician license; at least five years commercial electrical experience and a qualified workforce (minimum two journeymen).
• Small‑business set‑aside applies.
• Estimated contract value between $100,000 and $500,000.
