REQUEST FOR STATEMENTS OF QUALIFICATIONS AND PROPOSALS FOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES OF INDIVIDUAL PROJECTS

The Ceres Unified School District is seeking statements of qualifications from qualified firms for construction management services for individual projects. The selected firm will provide construction management services, including preconstruction, design review, and bidding phase services, as well as construction administration and closeout services. The firm will be responsible for ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with the District's requirements. The District is looking for a firm with experience in providing construction management services for public school facilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with District staff and other stakeholders. Some key requirements for the selected firm include: being a licensed general contractor, registered engineer, or licensed architect; having a valid criminal background check; and having experience in construction project design review and evaluation, construction mobilization and supervision, bid evaluation, project scheduling, cost-benefit analysis, claims review and negotiation, and general management and administration of a construction project. The District will evaluate proposals based on factors such as qualifications and experience, past performance record, and proposed fees. Some of the key services that the selected firm will be expected to provide include: * Overall construction program planning * Preconstruction services * Construction management services * Administration of all phases of construction activities * Coordination of the work to optimize efficiency and minimize conflict and interference between contractors * Preparation of a construction management plan * Development of a preliminary construction schedule * Budget assessment and cost containment advice * Value engineering studies and recommendations * Constructability reviews * Assistance with bidding and bid evaluation * Assistance with contract administration and closeout.
