Cancer Registry Standards, Methods, and Surveillance Support Services

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is seeking support services for developing and promoting methods and standards for cancer registry operations and surveillance data. The selected contractor will provide support for training/educational workshops, working groups, and technical committees to disseminate technical assistance and improve effectiveness of registry operations. The contractor will also provide reports, data use, and special studies support, as well as registry operations support. The objective of this five-year contract is to support the NCI's cancer surveillance program and improve the national capacity to study emerging trends and measure the cancer burden in the United States. Key aspects of the job include: • Supporting training and workshops on technical topics and issues • Providing support for reports, data use, and special studies • Assisting with registry operations, including data edits and geocoding • Developing and implementing technical procedures and guidelines for cancer registry operations • Collaborating with cancer surveillance organizations worldwide to improve the availability of good cancer registry-centered surveillance data.
