Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide laundry transportation services for the Central Texas Veterans Healthcare System. The contractor will be responsible for transporting sterile and bio-hazard laundry loads between the Doris Miller VA Medical Center and two other facilities: Kerrville VA Medical Center and Dallas VA Medical Center. The contractor must provide all personnel, equipment, and transportation necessary to perform the services. The contract will be for a 1-year base period with four additional 1-year optional renewal periods.
• Deliveries will be made every day, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
• The contractor must provide at least two drivers and two delivery diesel power trucks.
• The contractor must maintain the vehicles in a safe and serviceable condition.
• The contractor must comply with all VA regulations and policies.
• The contractor must provide a daily count of all clean items shipped to each facility.
• The contractor must ensure that all deliveries are made in a timely and efficient manner.
