Centers for Cultural Competence

The New York State Office of Mental Health is seeking to establish a contract for the Centers for Cultural Competence. The goal of the Centers is to provide programs that promote cultural and linguistically competent mental health services through research, evaluation, and training. The contract will be awarded to Nathan Kline Inst. & NY Psychiatric Inst. for a period of 11/1/2025-10/31/2030. The Centers will focus on various aspects such as research integration of Health and Mental Health services, evaluation of language access, and development of new innovative interpreting services. • Research integration of Health and Mental Health services • Evaluation of language access and development of new innovative interpreting services • Focus on Suicide prevention • Monitoring the level of care within NYS System of Care (SOC) network • Studying impacts of how a patient is discharged from a program/facility
