Hood Certification and Testing

The Portland VA Medical Center requires testing, balancing, and certification of biological safety cabinets, chemical fume hoods, laminar flow clean benches, and compounding rooms. The contractor must be NSF-49 accredited with a minimum of 18 months BSC testing experience and have a maximum response time of 24 hours for repairs. The work is located at the Portland VA Medical Center and Vancouver VA Medical Center. • The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, testing equipment, and certification of biological safety cabinets, chemical fume hoods, and laminar flow clean benches. • The contractor shall follow Federal and State OSHA regulations and take all reasonable safety precautions necessary. • The contractor shall obtain all necessary licenses and/or permits required while performing this work. • The contractor shall procure and maintain workman's compensation and employer's public, personal liability, and property damage insurance.
