Mining Inspection Services

The County of Stanislaus is seeking qualified consultants to provide comprehensive mining‑inspection services for its Planning & Community Development Department. The contract requires annual on‑site inspections of 14 surface mines, preparation and electronic submission of MRRC‑1, FACE‑1, and NOCl‑1 reports to both the County and the California Division of Mine Reclamation (DMR), monthly status updates, and the ability to perform ad‑hoc consulting such as SMARA support, CEQA peer reviews, and ordinance updates. The successful proposer must hold a valid California Professional Geologist license, demonstrate at least five years of relevant experience, meet stringent insurance requirements, and be financially capable to support a multi‑year agreement. The solicitation includes a mandatory pre‑proposal conference on September 15, a Q&A cutoff on September 22, and a final submission deadline of October 8, 2026. The initial contract term is three years with a possible one‑year extension, for a total potential duration of up to four years.
