SEF2482 Mechanic Truck Bodies

The State of Alaska, Department of Transportation & Public Facilities, is soliciting bids for the purchase of Mechanic Truck Bodies. The contract requires the delivery of three Mechanic Truck Bodies, with a maximum rated capacity of 5,000 lbs., a rotation of 360 degrees, and a reach of 21 feet. The truck bodies must be installed on a 2027 Ford Crew Cab, 19,000 lb. GVWR chassis with a gas engine and 84-inch CA. The successful bidder will be required to provide a one-year warranty and maintenance services for the equipment. Key features of the Mechanic Truck Bodies include: * 11’ steel mechanics body with crane and compressor * Torsion box understructure with 14 gauge, minimum, galvanneal steel * Floor width: 50-54 inches * Body length: 130-134 inches * Body width: 98 inches, maximum * Height: 40-44 inches * Front headache rack * 4 cargo tie-downs inside the bed * Slam tailgate with center latch and hinge stop(s) * Outrigger bumper with 2-inch receiver hitch and 7-pin flat connector * Pass-through compartment with a door on each side * 21-inch deep step and work surface * Grip strut and/or grip tape for all step surfaces * Lower height flexible step on both sides of the bumper with handholds for safety * Side compartments with t-handle latches and seals to prevent dust and moisture intrusion * Master locking system to allow one entire side of compartments to be locked with a padlock * Crane with maximum rated capacity of 5,000 lbs., minimum, and rotation of 360 degrees, minimum * Compressor with output of minimum 40 CFM @ 100 psi and 100% duty cycle * Hydraulic system with PTO and pump, if required * Electrical system with LED lighting inside all compartments and LED work lights * Running boards with heavy duty, grated steel and crew cab length The successful bidder will be required to deliver the Mechanic Truck Bodies within 280 days after receipt of the order.
