Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide three full-time equivalent (FTE) Board Certified/Board Eligible Interventional Cardiology Physician services to perform in-lab procedures or related telephone/Video Visits (VVC) clinic responsibilities, as well as shared STEMI on-call support on-site at the San Francisco VA Health Medical Center. The contractor will be responsible for providing cardiology and interventional cardiology consultative services, including diagnostic cardiac catheterization, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), and management of complex cardiovascular conditions. The contractor will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, advanced practice providers, nurses, and cardiac catheterization laboratory technologists.
• The contractor shall provide services at the San Francisco VA Health Medical Center, 4150 Clement Street, San Francisco, CA 94121.
• The period of performance will be for one base year and four potential option years, approximately beginning around November 1, 2026.
• The contractor shall be responsible for providing coverage to the VA during periods of vacancies of the contractor's personnel due to sick leave, personal leave, vacations, and additional coverage as required.
• The contractor shall provide a detailed explanation of the circumstances necessitating the proposed substitutions, complete resumes for the proposed substitutes, and any additional information requested by the CO.
