Consulting and Engineering Services– Pierce County Communications System Division

The Pierce County Communication's Systems Division (PC-CSD) requires professional consulting services to facilitate and support ongoing projects and operational objectives, to maintain a properly functioning communications network. This work will include project management and engineering services/activities listed in the Scope of Work (SOW). The selected consultant will be expected to establish and maintain a project-related “Book of Work”, documented via an agreeable project management platform such as Smartsheet. The consultant will also participate in weekly project meetings with the Pierce County Radio team and any associated supplier(s). Key responsibilities include: • Project management and engineering services • Maintaining a project-related “Book of Work” • Participating in weekly project meetings • Providing updates and documenting project notes • Collecting updates from project suppliers and Pierce County Radio personnel • Preparing monthly written reports to Pierce County Radio leadership • Possessing a demonstrative and historied working knowledge of Radio Communications Networks • Providing programmatic, software, hardware, and network design, maintenance, upgrade, and replacement recommendations • Performing Communications Network related supportive activities • Assisting and consulting on purchasing activities/decisions • Participating in project activities related to planning, designing, coordinating, implementation, and leading up the effort to accomplish all project punchlists and project close-outs
