Riverfront Land Development Project: Phases 1A, 1B, & 2A

The Riverfront Land Development Project: Phases 1A, 1B, & 2A involves the implementation of a Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) approved remedial action. The cleanup plan includes excavation and offsite disposal of impacted soils, stockpiling of urban fill for future reuse, partial construction for the cove, and related earthmoving work transforming this land into a public park. • The project is funded through the Municipal Brownfield Grant Program pursuant to CGS Section 32-763. • The contractor must be pre-qualified with the State of Connecticut Department of Administrative Services and registered under the anticipated CT DEEP 454 Contractor General Permit. • The project requires compliance with the DECD – Bidding, Contracting & Construction Guidelines for State Programs dated June 2024. • The scope of work includes excavation, earthmoving, and construction services. • The project aims to connect people with the Connecticut River and embodies Riverfront Recapture’s mission.
