The US Air Force is seeking a contractor to replace the boiler in Building 290 at Jefferson Barracks Air National Guard Station. The project includes the installation of a new high-efficiency condensing boiler, associated boiler room copper piping, valves, and a water treatment system. The contract duration will be 60 calendar days after notice to proceed. The project is 100% set-aside for small businesses.
• The boiler room currently has a carbon monoxide sensor, and the contractor will not need to provide one.
• The government wants a new chemical pot feeder and water quality monitoring system.
• The contractor will be expected to top off/charge the system with water during startup.
• The government prefers replacing the existing boiler with a condensing boiler, utilizing outside air supply temperature reset and other strategies to allow for lower return temperature.
