The Cherokee Nation is seeking proposals from interested parties to provide Microgrid Feasibility Studies for the Natural Resources Department. The selected contractor will complete a preliminary feasibility study to rank twelve key Cherokee Nation facilities and determine the three best locations for a microgrid. The contractor will then complete technical feasibility studies at the three selected sites, including multiple options of possible microgrid configurations with economic analysis for each location. The project aims to increase resiliency, protect sovereignty, and further the development of clean energy sources within northeastern Oklahoma.
• The contractor will develop a decision matrix based on provided metrics to show the ranking process behind their recommendation.
• The contractor will provide a written report on the technical feasibility study process and results, including multiple options of microgrid configurations with varying cost and payback period, battery storage, and technical features.
• The contractor will estimate the economic and greenhouse gas savings due to increased resiliency and renewable energy implementation.
• The contractor will conduct site visits during both Phase I and Phase II of the study, coordinated with Cherokee Nation staff.
