The California Highway Patrol is seeking a qualified contractor to replace the automatic rapid‑roll‑up bay door at the NIMITZ Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility (CVEF) Northbound location in Fremont, CA. The work includes removal of the existing door system, supply and installation of a new motor‑operated rapid‑roll‑up door with EPDM rubber curtain, all associated hardware, electrical controls, testing, commissioning, and a five‑year manufacturer warranty. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder after applying any applicable small‑business, DVBE, or other preference incentives.
• Supply and install a new automatic rapid‑roll‑up door (motor‑operated, spring‑less, with auxiliary hand‑chain) meeting wind‑load ≥ 20 psf and temperature range –40 °F to 180 °F.
• Provide all mechanical, structural, and electrical components (guides, brackets, motor, PLC control panel, lighting, weather‑stripping) and perform full site installation, alignment, testing, and commissioning.
• Meet licensing (CSLB C‑61 & D‑28), bonding (100 % payment bond), insurance, DVBE participation (minimum 5 %), and warranty requirements; attend mandatory site walk‑through on 9 April 2026.
