Structural Engineering services to prepare ASCE Tier 2 Seismec Evaluation and retrofit design

The NASA/NSSC is seeking structural engineering services to prepare an ASCE Tier 2 seismic evaluation and retrofit design. The selected contractor will perform a detailed analysis to confirm whether potential deficiencies identified in a previous Tier 1 study are actual deficiencies that warrant retrofit. The contractor will also develop preliminary retrofit concepts and contribute to follow-up discussions to facilitate the next steps toward a potential future retrofit evaluation report. The work will be performed at NASA's Ames Research Center in California. Key aspects of the job include: • Performing a detailed ASCE 41 Tier 2 engineering analysis • Confirming which potential deficiencies are actual deficiencies that should be mitigated • Developing preliminary retrofit concepts based on desired seismic performance, construction impacts, budget, and schedule • Contributing to follow-up discussions to facilitate the next steps toward a potential future retrofit evaluation report
