Wavelength Meter

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is conducting market research to identify potential sources of commercial products/services that can provide a high-resolution and a low-resolution wavelength meter. The wavelength meters are required for the Standard Photonic Thermometer (SPoT) project, which aims to develop the next-generation chip-scale photonic temperature metrology. The high-resolution wavemeter should operate over a range of at least 630 nm to 1700 nm, have a wavelength measurement accuracy of ±0.2 ppm, and come with a 4-channel optical switch and 4-channel PID controller. The low-resolution wavemeter should operate over a range of at least 1270 nm to 1680 nm, have a wavelength measurement accuracy of ±0.2 ppm, and be compatible with the high-resolution wavemeter. The key requirements for the wavelength meters include: • Operating range and wavelength measurement accuracy • Input laser type and maximum input optical power • Wavelength display resolution and stability/repeatability • Measurement rate and control through Windows 11 operating system • Software compatibility and availability of Labview drivers and Python scripts NIST is seeking information from sources that can provide a solution that meets these requirements, and respondents are requested to provide detailed information about their products, including technical specifications, performance capabilities, and pricing.
