Landon Burns Park – Octopus Playground Climber

The Carroll County Department of Recreation and Parks requested proposals for the installation of a colorful, whimsical, painted glass fiber reinforced concrete octopus climbing structure at Landon Burns Park. The contract was awarded to Playground Specialist, Inc. for $98,076.60. The intention is to have the playground climber installed and ready for use by May 15, 2022. • The contract includes the installation of a poured in place rubberized, ADA compliant, safety surface. • The project budget is $100,000. • The contract was awarded through a competitive bidding process. • The contractor is responsible for providing all freight, materials, components, and labor for the installation of the play structure.
