LED STREET LIGHT REPLACEMENT- PHASE 1

The City of Allentown is seeking a contractor to replace existing High Pressure Sodium (HPS) luminaires with Light Emitting Diode (LED) luminaires on various existing poles and davit arms throughout the city. The successful bidder will install LED lights and 7 pin Telecell controller units that have been pre-purchased by the city. The contract is a unit price contract, and the contractor will be paid only for those quantities and items actually performed and approved by the engineer. • The contractor must provide a complete and functioning lighting system. • The contractor must remove existing HPS luminaires and install new LED luminaires. • The contractor must remove and replace davit arms where found to be defective. • The contractor must remove and replace electrical power cables where found to be defective. • The contractor must remove and replace fuses where found to be defective.
