Electrical Services

The University of North Florida (UNF) is seeking one or more qualified state licensed Certified Electrical Contractors to provide various electrical services, including electrical and low-voltage wiring services, inspection, maintenance and repair, installation, renovation, remodeling, and parts and materials, on an as needed basis. The contract term is five years, with an option to renew for an additional five years. The scope of work includes medium-voltage work, cables and conductors, grounding and bonding for electrical systems, and more. The university reserves the right to inspect all work prior to payment and to approve or disapprove the use of subcontractors. Some key points to note are: * The contract is for electrical services, including maintenance, repair, and installation. * The contract term is five years, with an option to renew for an additional five years. * The university reserves the right to inspect all work prior to payment. * The university may approve or disapprove the use of subcontractors. * The contract includes a warranty for one year from the date of acceptance of the items delivered and installed. * The contractor shall be responsible for any damage to UNF property, personnel property, or visitor property due to negligence on the part of the contractor, its subcontractors, its employees, or its agents. * The contractor shall provide proof of operating a complete service organization located within sixty (60) miles of the UNF campus. * The contractor shall provide a complete list of the safety related training that each Electrician and Electrician's Helper receives on an annual basis. * The contractor shall provide a listing of its five (5) largest customers in the area. * The contract includes a requirement for the contractor to have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in similar type work.
