The City of West Jordan is seeking bids from qualified electrical contractors to furnish the City with a Journeyman Lineman, Journeyman Electrician, or equivalent to respond to emergency call-outs to the City of West Jordan. The contractor will provide "make safe" electrical services, respond to damaged streetlights and/or electrical boxes within 60 minutes, and contact Rocky Mountain Power if necessary. The contract term is 5 years, and the prices stated are firm through June 30, 2026, with possible annual price adjustments thereafter. The City reserves the right to terminate the contract with 30 days' written notice. Some key points to consider are:
• The contract requires the contractor to have a license to perform electrical services in the State of Utah.
• The contractor must provide general liability insurance, automobile liability insurance, workers' compensation insurance, and professional liability insurance.
• The City has the right to inspect and test the services to ensure they meet the required standards.
• The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• The contract includes a warranty provision, where the contractor warrants that the products or services will do what they are intended to do, and will be free from significant defects.
• The City has the right to terminate the contract if the contractor fails to perform its obligations or breaches any term or condition of the contract.
