The County of Riverside's Purchasing and Fleet Services department, in conjunction with the Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder's office, issued a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a disk-based disaster recovery solution. The solution was required to provide a primary "disk to disk" backup appliance, replicate 30 days' worth of backup data to a secondary physical location, and provide a tape library consisting of two LTO-6 tape drives. The RFQ was cancelled due to lack of competition, and the County planned to issue a new bid, ASARC-101A. The contract's scope of work involved providing a seamless and easy integration into the Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder's infrastructure, optimizing the backup process, and providing reliability, flexibility, expandability, and usability for a minimum of three years.
• The solution must provide an initial configuration that enables the Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder to back up a minimum of 22TB for Saturday full backup jobs and 2.5TB for daily differential jobs.
• The solution must enable the Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder to replicate 30 days' worth of backup data from the primary gateway location to a "disk to disk" appliance physically located at a secondary physical location for disaster recovery purposes.
• The solution must provide a tape library consisting of two LTO-6 tape drives to be used at a third physical site.
