The City of Wilmington is soliciting bids for the FY 2026 Citywide Tree and Stump Removal project. The scope includes complete removal of 22 trees (including trunks, limbs, roots, and debris) and grinding of 106 stump‑only locations throughout public right‑of‑way and parks. Work must protect underground utilities, back‑fill grinding pits, and dispose of all debris daily. The contractor must begin within ten days of a written order and finish all work within a 60‑day performance window, adhering to safety, environmental, and municipal standards.
• Remove 22 full trees and grind 106 stumps to at least 24 in. depth, back‑filling and compacting the sites.
• Coordinate with NC 811 for utility locates and with Traffic Engineering for any street closures; provide daily debris removal and site cleanup.
• Provide all required licenses, insurance, non‑collusion affidavit, E‑Verify compliance, and meet M/WBE outreach goals; award will be to the lowest responsible bidder based on qualifications, equipment, references, price, and outreach.
